With an IQ of 162, Kashmea Wahi is smarter than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking—and she is only eleven years old!
Kashmea Wahi was born in Mumbai, India, but she lives in London now. She goes to school just like any other kid, where she plays netball and lawn tennis, and is a champion chess player. She also loves math, and helped her team win third place in the Oxford Maths challenge. She says she took the test because she wanted her parents to know how smart she was, and maybe not bug her to study so much! But she had no idea she was a genius!
Kashmea is one of the youngest people to ever get a perfect score on the test, and she’s also one of the youngest people to ever take it! To even take the test, you have to be ten years old. The test she took, called the Cattell III B, has 150 questions. Most of the questions are about understanding what you just read.
Kashmea is very excited to have scored so high on the test. “It’s overwhelming to be compared with the likes of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein,” she said. “The comparison is implausible and I believe it would take loads of achievements for anyone like myself to be able to get into the league of such legends. Anyway, I am buzzing with excitement.”
Kashmea is not the only young person to score so high on an IQ test. Last year, another young girl, twelve-year-old Lydia Sebastian also got a perfect score. She said, “At first, I was really nervous but once I started, it was much easier than I expected it to be and then I relaxed.”
Aahil Jouher, ten years old, also got the highest possible score. “I just thought I’d get an average score,” he says. “When I found out I just thought ‘Oh my word’. I was really quite surprised. I thought I was just like every other ordinary kid.”
